NEW AND OLD DRUMS!

So I’ve just purchased a new drum kit that is currently on order from Steve’s. It should be coming in the next few weeks. I’ve sold my Tama kit that I bought 2/3 years ago. It was a great live kit but I felt I could only really get one sound in the studio. After doing some research I found a very versatile kit. A Pacific by DW, Concept Classic. All wood hoops with a 24″ kick drum. I really can’t wait to have this in my studio!

I also decided to fix up my first real kit I bought when I was 13. It’s a Tama Royalstar kit from the late 70’s. In the 90’s I butchered it by removing the wrap and gluing magazine cut outs to it then wrapping it in a thick clear plastic. It did me well for a while but it definitely changed the sound. So I decided to get a new wrap (from Bumwrap) and sand off all the pictures and glue off the shells. I also had to take as much rust as I could off the hardware. It came out super nice and the drums have never sounded better!
